8 June, Sunday (Milford Sound)

Yeah the Milford Sound trip was not cancelled! My prayer was answered! Thank you God! Another scenic ride for the day! This time winter scene! Many places were covered with snow! Really awesome! Many scenery stop along the way for photo taking. Stop at the lake at Te Anau. Like the name; sounds really romantic. Lake Te Anau is the second largest lake in NZ. Largest being Lake Taipo in North Island. How big? Can fit Singapore in there without touching the fringe! Yes the driver mention Singapore! And it is a result of volcanic activities. As for Te Anau, it is created by glacier movement. How interesting! Along the way we also pass through this 1.2km tunnel that was dug out by hand together with thousands of dynamites. It was simply pitch dark in there. At one of the stop we saw this green bird that's known to be the smartest bird on earth. Interesting is that it walk around the bus for all to view him! So cute.

Finally at the harbour to board the cruise. Before setting out to the deck to take photos in the freezing weather, I quickly grab some bits to store more energy in me to fight the cold, but not too much coz I don’t want to pollute the water in such a beautiful place!

Indeed the view out there is beautiful! It simply makes you feel so relax and soothing, as if you are on the way to heaven! It was not just a treat for the eyes but also one for your soul! Only thing is that the weather is really too cold! I have to run indoor to “warm up” before I can set out to take more photos every ten minutes! The captain even sail the cruise right under the waterfall to get us wet! We were also brought to this underwater viewing hall to view the beautiful coral life.
