Checked out a small town called Devonport recommended by Dawn. Took a ferry over. It’s a homely little town with nice bakery, bookshops and grocery shops. Sat down in one of the bakery and had breakfast with the locals. Gosh! If only we can start out day with filling breakfast in Singapore under such relaxing atmosphere everyday! Decided to explore this little mountain called North Head. I simply leave to the angels to lead me there as there is no detailed direction on the map. Just make it my morning exercise then! it is a volcanic headland under conservation for its historical values. During the last century it was mainly used by the military for coastal defense installation, which left a network of accessible old bunkers and tunnels as its legacy, forming part of the attraction. There was a few path to choose from such as historical walk and nature walk. But I end up exploring on my own. There was a point where I almost got lost as I was to immerse in the beautiful sea view. But angels lead me back in time to catch the ferry to meet Dawn for lunch. The rest of the day is just walking around the shopping area. Nothing much to buy coz 1st the things there not really our taste and 2nd I have a luggage limit to keep to. The winter clothing are heavy enough!
